Vermont Woods Studios is a Vernon, Vermont-based retailer specializing in handcrafted solid wood furniture made exclusively from sustainably sourced North American hardwoods. Founded in 2005 by Peggy and Ken Farabaugh, the company operates out of Stonehurst, a renovated 18th-century farmhouse that doubles as a showroom and a National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitat. Rather than manufacturing its own pieces, the brand acts as a unified storefront for independent Vermont woodworkers and regional manufacturers like Copeland Furniture and Lyndon Furniture.

The catalog focuses heavily on Shaker and mid-century modern designs built from cherry, maple, oak, and walnut. You will not find leather seating here. Instead, the indoor lineup features fabric-upholstered wooden frames, such as Copeland's Sierra sofa, alongside solid wood coffee tables and dining sets. The company also carries POLYWOOD outdoor furniture for patio setups.

Forest conservation dictates the company's sourcing. As a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council, Vermont Woods Studios refuses to use imported rainforest timber. The retailer actively funds reforestation initiatives and has planted over 200,000 trees to date.
