Wisteria was founded in 2000 by the husband and wife team of Andrew and Shannon Newsom. From their dining room table, they built a company based on a passion for travel and artisanal craftsmanship, aiming to bring unique objects from around the world into American homes.

The brand's collection is a mix of curated finds and original designs. The team travels to find treasures in bazaars and street markets globally. In 2006, Wisteria also began creating its own exclusive furniture and decor, including its popular Bone Inlay Collection.

Headquartered in Smyrna, Georgia, Wisteria launched its first catalog in 2001 and its website in 2004. The brand's style combines global provenance with a timeless, sometimes antique, feel that captures a distinctive soul of the South.
